Hello and thanks for visiting thedoublebagel blog!
Bagel, in tennis jargon, means losing a set without scoring a single game. Double bagel means losing two sets, and in most cases, losing the whole match without scoring a single game. Serving up double bagels are fun but being on the receiving end of it surely hurts.
I decided to call this blog “the double bagel” simply because I feel extremely pleased when my favorite players dominate their matches and serve them up. I personally strive to do it as well! Rest assured, I will not only be talking about the Andys and Marias of my life but everyone and everything that goes on in and around the ATP and WTA tours. From on court geniuses to off court misfortunes, you’ll find them all here.

Here’s a bit about me so you don’t draw weird faces in your head when you read my entries.
My name’s Maria, I’m 23 and I’m blogging from Los Angeles. I’m a professional tennis fan and make photos on my spare time. When I have to pay rent, it’s the other way around. I’ve been following the sport since I was a child- not since yesterday, silly, two days ago. I also play and I love it. I started thedoublebagel after I realized how annoyed/uninterested some of my friends were of the constant tennis rants on my personal blog. They are no longer my friends. I hope you enjoy reading!
